Manuel, Part 3

This story is part of a story that I wrote as an assignment for a MOOC Class I took at University of IOWA.

The class was called, Power of the Pen: Identities and Social Issues in Fiction and Nonfiction. The classes are taught online and people from all over the world participate. This was the second time I participated, and again I learned a lot.

Summer vacation on the island – Pictures from Puerto Rico

I’m very sad to see all the devastation that hurricanes Irma and Maria caused in Puerto Rico in Sept 2017. I don’t even know if the apartment we stayed in is still there and right now there is no way to find out.

I still have my treasured memories of the Island and I hope we can all work together to build it up again.

A light breeze, lots of sunshine, the ocean, and awesome sunsets in the evening …

What a treat to have some time in Puerto Rico during our summer vacation.
The ocean is always an inspiration for me, especially when I can hear, see and smell it all day long, dip my toes in the salty water, dig my feet in the warm sand and feel the light breeze of the wind on my face.
It has been quite a while since I was near any ocean, and so I enjoyed it even more than I imagined I would.
Of course, there was a lot to take in and I kept my camera close by.
